台灣風味火鍋之一:燒酒雞

What food that best to eat in Taiwan’s cool breeze? The answer is hot pot (火鍋). One of Taiwanese style hot pot that I would like to recommend is Fire Chicken Wine (燒酒雞). As you can see from the picture, maybe the food looks simple, but actually the flavors have remarkable depth. Besides using chicken and rice wine (米酒), ingredients that used to make this cuisine are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine, such as female ginseng (當歸), goji berry (枸杞), Szechuan lovage (川芎), Chinese ginseng (黨參), and Chinese liquorice (甘草). Not only does it taste good, but this food is also healthy. I know that I will be eat this dish again and again, even if it's summer time.

其他 How to make it?
1.Put all the herbs in the pot with chicken, rice wine, and water;
2. Cook for 20 minutes on high heat;
3. Add seasonings;
4. After boiling, wait until the surface of the soup has no fire, then reduce the heat and cook until it cooked.

Additional information
- If you like the strong taste of wine, you can change the amount of 3 cups of water to rice wine instead.
- Since alcohol is mostly evaporated during the hot cooking process, it is not easy to get drunk, so you can rest assured.
