What food that best to eat in Taiwan’s cool breeze? The answer is hot pot (火鍋). One of Taiwanese style hot pot that I would like to recommend is Fire Chicken Wine (燒酒雞). As you can see from the picture, maybe the food looks simple, but actually the flavors have remarkable depth. Besides using chicken and rice wine (米酒), ingredients that used to make this cuisine are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine, such as female ginseng (當歸), goji berry (枸杞), Szechuan lovage (川芎), Chinese ginseng (黨參), and Chinese liquorice (甘草). Not only does it taste good, but this food is also healthy. I know that I will be eat this dish again and again, even if it's summer time.
