Qualification
Anyone who is a national of the Republic of China or who has a valid ARC and who loves Taiwanese food can apply (including Taiwanese restaurant staff); but staff members related to the Organizer, serving in the panel review or undertaking the event are not allowed to participate.
Minors must obtain the consent of their legal representatives when they participate, and attach the legal representatives' consent when receiving awards.
The stories of Taiwanese flavor for submission must take place in Taiwan. The Taiwanese related restaurant/store/location mentioned must be located in Taiwan (including Kinmen, Matsu and Penghu).
Entry specification
Upload content: A title, maximum of 5 photos and an article within 600 characters.
Title of the work: Choose your own title of the work, maximum 20 characters (including Chinese, English, numbers, punctuation).
Theme: "the Taiwanese flavor that you most wanted to recommend to the world." based on your Taiwanese food experience. It should tell the story of Taiwanese flavor happening in Taiwan and the reasons for sharing it with foreigners.
Photo format: 5 photos or less, jpg files with 1024x768 resolution minimum or no larger than 2MB, captions are required for each photo.
Text format: text within 600 characters (including Chinese, English, numbers and punctuation), Chinese must be written in the traditional form, foreigners can write in English.
Submission regulations
Participates must fill in factual personal information: real name, telephone no., email address, etc. If participants do not agree to give authorization on the event website, which causes them unable to log in to register; or if the personal data is incomplete, which affects the participants’ participating and winning rights; participants will be fully responsible for the aforementioned situations.
The basic personal information provided by the participants, including but not limited to name, identity card number, date of birth, address, etc., will be used by the organizer for the purposes of insuring relevant insurance, lottery, entry review and award notice. If the participants do not agree to provide the above information to the organizer, it may affect their rights to participate in the event.
The selected works should conform to the theme of the event and the specifications of the submission, and the work must not be publicly published or won prizes in other competitions and non-competition events.
If the work involves copyright, articles, buildings, portrait rights, etc., the participant must first obtain the consent of the relevant person or agency to use. If there is a dispute, the participant shall be fully responsible for it and it shall have nothing to do with the organizer.
The participating works are strictly forbidden to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. If there is infringement, plagiarism, or involvement in defamation, the organizer must first remove the work after being reported and discovered. If participants need to quote other people's text for special reasons, they may not copy the whole paragraph, and must indicate the source of the information. Images must not be reproduced, remade, copied, plagiarized, or synthesized from other people’s works. If a work is found to have violated the aforementioned requirement, it will be excluded from review; if a winning work is found to have violated the requirement, the winner will be disqualified; no replacement winner will be chosen and the prize must be paid back in full. If participants violate intellectual property rights, social good customs, and cause damages to the organizer or any other third party, the participants shall bear the civil and criminal liability themselves and bear the responsibility for compensation to the relevant units; the organizer is not responsible for the aforementioned situations.
Regardless of winning or not, the documents submitted will not be returned. If you need to keep a copy, please make a copy before sending your work.
The organizer reserves the right to terminate or change the contents of the activities, awards and other related activities at any time.
If there are any outstanding issues, the organizer may amend and announce on the event website.
Copyright regulations
The moral rights of the submitted works belongs to the participants, but the participants agree that the property rights of the works belong to the organizer. The organizer may use the images and texts of the selected works for non-profit purposes related to the event, such as promotion, announcement, publication, layout, exhibition, publication of newspapers and magazines or printed booklets, and the organizer may use the works for free, including reauthorization to third parties.
The participants shall not ask the organizer for remuneration, authorization or compensation in any name other than the prize money won by the winner. The organizer has the right to reproduce, publicly display and use the works regardless of time, frequency and method in accordance with the Copyright Act, and no notice or reward is given to the participants.
All participants agree that the organizer will choose another venue to publicly display the entries.
Awarding rules
Within 3 days after the organizer announces the list of winners, the organizer will mail the “Notice of Award” to the email address provided by the winning participants on the event website. The winners should return the "Notice of Award" document and the documents to be submitted, such as a copy of both sides of the identity card, the legal representative's consent form for the minor winner, the ARC for foreign resident's, and the account number for remittance.
The prizes for the winning works will be paid by "remittance", and the remittance fee will be borne by the winners.
A participant is limited to one award in one category, but a participant can win multiple awards in different categories.
According to the Tax Code of the Republic of China, the winners agree to pay taxes in accordance with the following laws of the Republic of China. If the winner refuses to pay the withholding tax, he or she will be deemed to be disqualified. For winning prizes exceeding NT$20,000, the organizer will withhold 10% of the winning income tax and withholding 1.91% of the second-generation national health insurance supplementary premium. Foreigners are required to pay 20% of winning income tax; if the winning prizes are less than NT$20,000, no tax withheld will be required. The winner shall provide personal data, and the execution unit will send the withholding slip for the winner to use when declaring annual comprehensive income tax.
The organizer reserves the right to change the award and to give explanations.
Voting method
According to the “likes” of the submitted works, each person is limited to “like” five works per day, and one vote per day for the same work.
